Poughkeepsie Housing Authority Poughkeepsie, NY

In The summer of 1999, Ironburgh was selected by the Poughkeepsie Housing Authority to assume ownership of the Bixby and Eastman Tower apartments. Ironburgh will be working with the Authority to rehabilitate both buildings using bond financing and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. The scope of the rehabilitation is almost identical to that of Newburgh.

Both the Bixby and Eastman have vacant land that is being acquired along with the buildings. We plan to build and sell townhouses for residents and other first-time homebuyers. Residents in good standing for three or more years will receive up to 2 percent of the purchase price from Ironburgh.
